MIGHTY Acrobats   by EC Kids

(9 Classes) Are you up for the challenge? Do you dare to be MIGHTY? (Mindful, Imaginative, Goal-oriented, Healthy, Talented and Young). Not just an ordinary gymnastics class, EC Kids takes it to a whole new level where fitness meets entertainment. Coaches JT and Debbie Moye focus on nurturing the whole child and can help students reach their infinite potential through this one-of-a-kind class. Their unique combination of gymnastics, games, ninja fitness, obstacle courses, rhythm, music and movement are meant to build strength, skills and confidence.
Coach JT is an acrobatics coach and stunt coordinator who holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut. He has more than 35 years of experience teaching kids gymnastics, dance and musical theater. Additionally, he has performed in film and television, for live shows and most notably in the Broadway Show Miss Saigon.
Coach Debbie has been working in the field of child devel
opment for more than three decades and is a mother of three. When working with young children, her main focus has been on inclusion, self-expression and team-building skills.
Coaches JT and Debbie founded EC Kids and truly believe that Everything Counts for Kids. They work everyday to inspire children to believe in themselves and to be kind and thoughtful. Reptile Defenders  by Critter Squad

K - 5th Grade

(9 Classes) Scales, tails, nails, and tongues! That’s just the beginning of the reptile fun! Defenders in reptile class will explore the reptile world with exciting activities like making cobra hats and making frog slime! Defenders will even learn how to use a SNAKE HOOK and see the GIANT TORTOISE named GOLIATH!

Ceramics  by Sylvia Baar-Limon

(9 Classes) Explore the joy and challenge of working with clay. Beginning, intermediate and advanced students are welcome! Join us in this hands-on, creative class where students will learn the basic techniques of hand building: pinch, coil and slab construction. We will make projects with seasonal themes: pinch pots, coil vases, nature print bowls, Halloween pumpkins, skulls and ghosts, candle holders, animal sculptures, pendants for necklaces, beads and windchimes. Students will also make free choice projects.The students will learn about the ceramic process step by step as the projects develop and how to handle the tools and materials. All clays and glazes are certified non-toxic and food safe. All materials are included.  Taught by Ms. Sylvia, teacher and ceramic artist.

Flag Football TK-2  by Fit Kids America

(9 Classes) LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE! In this INTRO to Football class, students will learn basic football skills through drills and partner work. Players will practice throwing, passing, and catching! Football inspired mini games will be the focus of this class. No tackling, just fun! Groups will be played by age and ability. No uniform needed! *Water is encouraged NEWLY ADDED: Fit Kids now brings mini Field Goals (adjustable height 2ft-6ft) for athletes to practice with!

Flag Football 2-5  by Fit Kids America

2nd - 5th Grade

(9 Classes) TOUCHDOWN! Ready for some flag football? Practice basic football skills through drills and partner work. Players will practice throwing, passing, and catching! Dazzling Disney Crafts w/Miss Zee  by Zee Chang

From Pixar to Star Wars, to all the Animated classics - it’s a Disney Craft collective! Create keepsakes from upcoming films like Moana 2, new films like Descendants: The Rise of Red, or from classics like Aladdin, and much much more! Get ready to ignite your imagination and make some crafting magic!

Showchoir  by Rachel Howe Mixon

2nd - 5th Grade

(9 Classes) Taylor Swift Part 2: Showchoir version! Swiftie students loved putting together TS songs last semester. This year's class will include Taylor's new album, "The Tortured Poet's Department." Our class includes a focus on musicality and proper singing technique. Students will get a solo, personal vocal coaching, and study concert choreography to develop a synchronized routine of singing and dancing for the fall Spotlight showcase this school year. We're so glad that Taylor created enough material for 2 semesters' worth of classes, since we really wanted more after last Spring!  *This class will perform at the Spotlight Showcase at the end of the session.

Mixon Musical Theatre Jr  by Rachel Howe Mixon

(11 Classes) Young students will learn choreography, singing, and blocking movements for the new musical,  "Harry Potter," created specifically for your Farragut kids (adapted by Miss Rachel). In our junior musical theatre class, students will not just engage with theatrical techniques, they also get to produce the show through artwork with set and prop design. This show includes traditional Wizarding costumes and the opportunity to fight a troll - using stage combat, of course. Featuring John Williams' award winning music from the movies, students will have fun in their semester at Hogwarts! *This class will perform at the Spotlight Showcase at the end of the session.

Paper Engineering: Places to Go!  by Ms. Irene Yu

K - 3rd Grade

(11 Classes) Explore mechanical concepts by creating playful moving projects with Miss Mary! Projects and lessons are designed by Ms. Irene Yu, artist and professional engineer. Each week, students will learn about mechanical principles to create 2d and 3d art projects. The 2d projects will take the form of a pop up book. Students will work on fine motor skills, simple engineering concepts, and problem solving skills in a creative way. The theme of this session is Places to Go! Breakdancing  by WeBreak

K - 5th Grade

(11 Classes) Our Beginner breakdance classes are for students who have little to no dance experience. These classes are designed to teach the fundamental aspects of breakdancing in a fun and safe environment! WeBreak teaches through our very own proprietary curriculum – focused on learning moves, self-expression, building confidence, and developing a positive environment through helping one another. Once students have completed the beginner’s curriculum, they move to a more intermediate/advanced curriculum that challenges them to learn new moves and concepts, while building upon & mastering those they’ve previously learned. *This class will perform at the Spotlight Showcase at the end of the session.

Ms. Asha's Jewelry Design Studio  by Ms. Asha

K - 5th Grade

(11 Classes) Calling all creative artists and future designers …join Farragut and Spotlight's own Miss Asha as you indulge your imagination and craft one-of-kind bejeweled creations! In this class, young artists will learn to create beautiful earrings, headbands, anklets, chokers, necklaces, and bracelets. Students will perfect their jewelry making skills and techniques while working with different kinds of wires, scissors, pliers, clasps, beads, and other unique adornments. Every class will be an artistic adventure!

Hero Workshop  by Scott Stevens

3rd - 5th Grade

(11 Classes) In the Hero Workshop, we learn about Interactive Storytelling and Role Playing Games. Everyone in the group will design their own Hero by thinking deeply about what it is that makes someone a hero, and what kind of powers they would like their hero to have. Then we will learn about creating an adventure, and take our Heroes on an imaginative adventure using the fantasy worlds of Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition ruleset.

Here are a list of concepts that students are exposed to in the Hero Workshop: The Hero's Journey - Storytelling - What makes a Hero? - Cartography (map-making, and map-reading) - Basic Math and Statistics - Basic Algebra - Logic Puzzles in games - Making decisions as a group, and cooperation - Role Playing Game Design - What makes a Scenario interesting?

Zooga Ninjas  by Zooga Yoga

TK - 2nd Grade

(11 Classes) In this super fun kickboxing/martial arts class with a yoga twist, our goal is to channel the wild child in every kid. The class is designed to introduce basic self-defense concepts in a playful and safe environment. Your Ninja will engage in group activities, games, yoga, and physical conditioning to build strength, self-esteem, and learn principles of safety and self-control. It's important to note that this is a non-contact class, and we prioritize personal space and mindfulness throughout the session. All are welcome! As a token of completion, your child will receive a "graduation" Zooga bracelet at the end of the session.  *This class will perform at the Spotlight Showcase at the end of the session.

Zooga Cheer Stars  by Zooga Yoga

(11 Classes) In this class, we incorporate stretching, basic tumbling, cheer motions, dance, and a strong emphasis on spirit. Your child will learn foundational skills, mini routines, and basic tumbling progressions. Our classes are designed to acknowledge each attempt and reward every success, fostering a positive learning environment. If your child loves to shine, this is the perfect class for them! All skill and experience levels are welcome to join. At the end of the session, your child will receive a "graduation" Zooga bracelet as a token of completion.  *This class will perform at the Spotlight Showcase at the end of the session.​

Magical Creations  by Art Lessons LA

TK - 5th Grade

(11 Classes) Students will learn to make imaginative characters like dragons, unicorns, mermaids, robots, monsters and anime people.  They will learn to create them in 2-D form (drawing and painting) as well as 3-D (sculpture).  Students will draw, paint, sculpt and build their creatures.  They will also create otherworldly environments for such creatures like candy castles and fairy/dragon gardens.

Cooking Around the World by Sylvia Baar-Limon

K - 5th Grade

(11 Classes) This class is a culinary expedition around the world where students will learn about, prepare and taste recipes from different countries. We will design the country flags and collect the recipes in the students own recipe book to keep. Materials fee included. Taught by Sylvia Baar-Limon, teacher and chef.​

Basketball Fundamentals  by Coach Floyd

1st - 5th Grade

(11 Classes) A FUNdamental twist on basic basketball skills. Learn the basic skills that lead to being a better ball player, but have fun doing so. Coach Floyd is the former assistant P.E. coach at Farragut. He has worked in numerous basketball camps and is a high school basketball official.

Sew What?! 102 Advanced by GreenArts

1st - 5th Grade

(11 Classes) This is an advanced sewing class, this class is NOT for beginners (we will not focus on basics in this class). In this GreenARTS Sew What?! Class we are still using colorful felt fabric and embroidery threads to create projects, BUT we’ll be focusing more on advanced stitches like the chain stitch, blanket stitch, french knots and many more techniques to create fun little projects, cute plushies and custom zipper bags. ***Students must have completed the beginner class to take this class***

TechKidz: Video Game Design  by Parker-Anderson Enrichment

1st - 5th Grade

(11 Classes) Students will learn how to design and modify their own exciting arcadestyle video games using Roblox, Hopscotch, Splader and more! They will learn how to control characters, objects and outcomes in their games as they increase the difficulty level and add more features.

Imagine it: Acting & Improv Fun!  by Rosalyn Nash

4th - 5th Grade

(11 Classes) Welcome to " Imagine it”  an immersive  acting and improv class for fourth and fifth graders! Join us on a fun adventure where your creativity takes center stage. In this fun and interactive class, young actors will unlock their imagination through engaging games, exciting activities, and team-building exercises that are perfect for their age group.
Lessons will include Acting Basics (discover the fundamentals of acting, including voice projection, body movement, and character creation!), Improv Adventures (dive into the world of improvisation with exciting games that spark creativity and encourage quick thinking), Storytelling & Role-Playing (kids will embark on storytelling journeys, collaboratively crafting tales where they become the heroes and heroines) and Team Spirit (Students will engage in collaborative activities that encourage teamwork, trust, and support, creating a playful atmosphere where everyone feels encouraged and valued.)

We promote a healthy lifestyle for kids by doing fun, physical activity that teaches kids to express themselves through music and movement.  This is a performance-based class, which helps students to gain confidence and self-esteem.  We teach age-appropriate dance routines to pop music and classics from the past! (11 Classes) "Mean Girls: NICE Edition" is hitting our Thursday class with some important life lessons. Students will learn how to act, sing, dance, and be kinder to everyone! This year's class will feature professional choreography, a focus on speech level singing technique (a Broadway favorite) and lessons on creating acting atmospheres using sense memory and life experience. Props and costumes will be used and curated throughout the process. We're excited to level up our class training as the kids level up their show with "Mean Girls." Great songs and comedy make this a hugely popular show, and with Mixon doing the editing, you know it'll be age appropriate. *This class will perform at the Spotlight Showcase at the end of the session.

Drawing & Painting Lab  by Art Lessons LA
